Pictured here in her retirement backyard, Fergy lived at the Jasper Avenue location for several years. She retired from Wee Book Inn service in March of 2020.

Bob the cat passed away on September 13th, 2008. He lived in the Jasper Avenue store and was 18 years old. He lived an enviable life laying in the sunny spots throughout the store, and receiving adoration from loyal fans.

Born in 1995 Boom-Boom spent the majority of his years at the Kensington Wee Book Inn in Calgary. His first months were spent maturing under the loving care of the store manager. When he was old enough he moved into the bookstore and made a name for himself as the adorable neighbourhood bookstore cat. Boom-Boom eventually retired in Edmonton at the Jasper Avenue location and passed away in August of 2011.

Doug passed away on June 15th, leaving the mascot duties at the Stony Plain Road store to his good friend Patty. Doug was a gentle and loving cat who preferred the quiet of the back office to the hustle of the front counters. Those who were persistent enough to get to know him will remember him always as a frizzly, funny little softie.

Gump the cat resided at the 17th Avenue store in Calgary.  Since the closure of that location, he's lived with the former manager.

Rocket passed away on February 29th, 2008. He is survived by his brother Pocket who passed away in the spring of 2014. These two brothers had their share of misadventure together, including the time the both of them were stolen right out of the store! They were eventually rescued, but ever since that event Pocket has had a taste for the wide open skies. Rocket was always the laid-back one, with his brother running outside at every opportunity to get into new trouble.
